This cabin is nestled in the majestic Smoky Mountains of Townsend, Tennessee. If you are looking for quiet, privacy, and an occasional wildlife visitor, this is the getaway for you!
Upon the Mountain Cabin Rentals is a short drive from the Knoxville Airport and is convenient to Blount County, Maryville, Sevierville, Sevier County, Pigeon Forge, and Gatlinburg. We offer visitors the opportunity of being in a private and secluded, yet conveniently located environment.
MORE ABOUT THE CABIN
Upon The Mountain is a lovely, newly built cabin. It is nestled on mountain in complete seclusion from traffic and neighbors. It as a master bedroom with a king-size bed, a loft room with a double bed and game room, a bathroom with Jacuzzi, modern kitchen, living room with fireplace and satellite television. We have two porches with beautiful views for you to sit and relax on.
We supply all linens, coffee, charcoal/firewood for grill, and a few DVDs and games.
If you don’t want to go out for dinner we have provided everything you will need in our fully equipped and modern kitchen. From spatulas to a corkscrew, we’ve made sure you’ll not have to leave your quiet mountain retreat to prepare your culinary delights.
This is a non-smoking cabin with designated smoking areas outside on the porches (ashtrays provided.) We allow small pets to stay with you in the cabin and ask that you respect and obey local leash laws and clean up after your furry companions.

Visiting Townsend, Blount County, Tennessee
In addition to being a short distance from these lovely towns and the attractions and activities they offer, Townsend also has shopping and seasonal activities for visitors of all ages to enjoy. Some of the activities available include horseback riding, tubing, golf courses, antique malls, and hiking trails. Townsend also offers visitors several choices of gas stations, grocery stores, and local dining establishments.
Great Smoky Mountains National Park
If you are a nature lover, biological diversity is the hallmark of Great Smoky Mountains National Park. These mountains are famous for their wildlife, flora, fauna, and photographic opportunities. Recommended activities include hiking the Park’s more than 800 miles of trails, picnicking, sightseeing, bird watching, fishing, auto touring, cycling, and horseback riding.
Although hiking the entire thing may take 6 months or more, you may want to visit The Appalachian Trail, which runs for 70 miles along the Park's top ridge.
The Blue Ridge Parkway, sometimes called "America's Favorite Drive", is the most visited unit of America's National Park System. The 469-mile drive down the parkway provides a look at the rich cultural history of the southern Appalachian Mountains.
Visiting Pigeon Forge & Gatlinburg, Sevier County, Tennessee
You can’t mention Pigeon Forge without mentioning the amazing variety of shopping opportunities at the outlet malls. The Dollywood Theme Park and Splash Country also offers a southern flavor of musical entertainment, rides, food, and fun for all ages. Pigeon Forge is home to music and variety, making Pigeon Forge one of the best family vacation spots around.
Gatlinburg is a walking community with family attractions and things to do at every turn. Enjoy whitewater rafting, hiking trails, golf, skiing, museums, shopping, and dining. You’ll not want to miss a visit to Ripley’s Aquarium, a ride on the sky lift, or a meal at The Hard Rock Café!
